Price

Wedding Videography is a vastly different thing in areas of high population or high competition. This leads to receiving quotes from companies that are hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars apart from each other. The most important thing to keep in mind is that every company should be able to give you a breakdown of the price according to your need. If 2 videographers will be on site then there should be a price associated with it. If Drones will be used to film the B-Roll then there should be a price associated with it. If they are doing audio recordings of the vows and speeches, there should be a price associated with it. Make sure that you know what you are receiving so that you don’t end up paying more… for less.

Style

Wedding Videography (also known as “Wedding Films”) is a field absolutely driven by style. The company’s portfolio should tell you everything you need to know. Some videography companies will say they are different but does it show in their work? Do they sit the camera on a tri-pod and leave it up to you to make it “cinematic” or “romantic” or do they drive those values with their artistic passion, direction, music choices, etc?

Effort

Video production companies can become extremely busy during certain seasons and the last thing you are going to want is to feel like another head in the crowd. Make sure that the company you choose is willing to have a sit down, over the phone, or video meeting with you ahead of your special day to go over specific details. Also, they should make it a point to find out what you are like before you trust them to portray your story accurately. If you’re a city person you wouldn’t want bluegrass tunes and an orange filter right out of your favorite western included in your final product.
